YKK hosted a Tech Talk by John Holliday, Senior Product Development Manager, and Terry McCullough, Sales Engineering Manager at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Denver, Colorado. The experts discussed various aspects and advancements of some of YKK’s latest sustainable and technical products. They also discussed their differing approaches to solving their customers’ challenges through innovation.

John Holiday went over some of YKK's new products for both open-end and two-way operations, including YKK's 3C Pin Guide slider, click-TRAK® , and QuickFree® 2Way. click-TRAK® is a newly launched zipper with open parts components that self-align and engage, allowing the user to close the zipper with one hand. YKK developed this zipper with the aim of enabling the elderly, people with disabilities, and others who have difficulty using zippers, to better enjoy fashion. YKK also aims to expand the application to the sportswear and childrenswear markets, which can take advantage of its easy-to-use features.

In response to customers' requests and following new trends in the outdoor industry which include lightweight and anti-dangling, YKK has developed a new line of products that were also featured at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. Some of the products showcased were: VISLON® Slim, No. 3CF Super Lightweight Zipper, No.3 Vislon Full Automatic Slider and No.5 Automatic Slider with Stay-down Puller and Border Reflective. Terry McCullough discussed YKK's innovations in energy savings which include solution dyed zipper and dye-free zippers.
