YKK North & Central America Group plant trees in honor of World Environment Day

In 1972, World Environment Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly to raise global awareness concerning protecting nature and the planet Earth. Every year on June 5th, YKK Group offices around the world plant trees to recognize this special day.

To commemorate World Environment Day, the Anaheim, California YKK (U.S.A.) Inc. office planted a native Majestic Beauty Indian Hawthorne tree on June 5, 2017.

On June 5, 2017, Tape Craft Corporation, a subsidiary of YKK Corporation of America, planted Leyland Cypress trees in celebration of World Environment Day.

On June 5, 2017, YKK (U.S.A.) Inc. Snap & Button Products in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, cleaned up their landscaping, added mulch, planted flowers in flower pots and picked up trash around the road near their plant in celebration of World Environment Day.

On June 5, 2017, YKK Canada Inc. planted trees in celebration of World Environment Day.

On June 5, 2017, YKK Honduras planted trees in celebration of World Environment Day.

On June 5, 2017, YKK El Salvador planted citrus, mahogany, laurel and cedar trees in celebration of World Environment Day.
